Signatories of open letter say CBDC is vital to ensure Europe is not reliant on US payment providers
Seventy academics have signed an open letter calling on European Union institutions to authorise the digital euro, ahead of a critical vote on the central bank digital currency by members of the European parliament (MEPs) later this year.Â
